As many of you might have already heard, on the 22nd of May 2011 I ran the Edinburgh Marathon for the first time. I was inspired to do this through a good frined of mine who works for a charity and creative arts orginisation who I volunteer with, Pure Media UK. My friend ran the marathon in support of a centre in China called Shen-Hai, who are the PMUK of China. He ran the marathon in just 4hrs, 4mins and... Well I can't remember the exact time, but hey it was fast!

I decided to give this a go myself, and before I knew it a year flew past and I found myself at the start line. By this time a new project had come up with Pure Media, which I am a part of. We will be travelling to India in October to work with people from the lower end of India's Caste system (Don't worry - I'm working on finding you all a suitable replacement for lessons while I'm away!).

You might have noticed a new page on this website titled "iGNiTE INDA Donations". Our India team is working very hard to raise enough money to take us to India to do the work we have planned to do. If you would like to donate to this cause, please go ahead and visit this page, you can donate as little or as much as you want through PayPal. Of course, if you would rather donate cash, you can do so next time you are in the academy.

So, nothing elsenew to report here at Dundee Drum Academy. Free Tea/Coffee/Hot Chocolate is now available in the waiting room, and I am getting my hands on some exciting new drum books, but that's about it! I hope you're all enjoying lessons, practicing hard, and above all else, learning something far more valuable than you could have expected. If you're on this page because you'r ethinking about getting lessons, get in touch! We would love to welcome you into the Dundee Drum Academy family!
