Christmas Concert!

posted 1 Sept 2014, 23:32 by Chris Morris
Dundee Drum Academy is thrilled to announce that this year, we will be hosting our first Christmas Concert! This is an exciting opportunity for all students to perform one or two pieces in front of an audience of family and friends, and to show off what you have learned in 2014.

This is something that has been planned for a long time, and now that it's finally happening, we'll be looking to make it an annual event to celebrate the talents of Dundee Drum Academy's drummers.

The date and venue aren't set in stone yet, but it will most likely be held at the Tayside Deaf Hub on Brown Street, which is a fantastic venue where I run a few music groups for Tayberry Enterprise. The date will be on or around the 19th December.

The event will also be a fundraiser for Tayberry. Tayberry provides mental health and disability services around Dundee, and we hope that one or two of the groups run by Tayberry will also be performing on the night.

You should receive a letter this week along with a contact information form (I'm also updating contact information at the moment!), so please have a read through it and I would love to see as many Dundee Drum Academy pupils as possible on the night.

More information to follow in the coming weeks!
